Features · What Kuroji Does

A Financial Second-In-Command That Never Sleeps, Never Extrapolates, And Shows Its Work.

Kuroji is organized into three rings of capability. The first ring is free, read-only, and zero risk. The third ring acts externally and only with hard limits you set. Trust earned outward, never the other way around.

§01Ring I — Sees And Tells

The Number You Ask For. With The Receipts Attached.

Kuroji reads your bank, Stripe, and payroll continuously. Runway, burn, MRR, gross margin, and concentration are computed every fifteen minutes from canonical events — never extrapolated, never approximated. Every number ships with a citation chain back to the events that produced it.

  • Cash on hand · multi-bank, multi-currency, normalized USD
  • Burn · trailing 3-month average and trend, adjusted for one-time charges
  • Runway · in days, in months, projected against committed spend
  • MRR · with cohort breakdown and refund-net reality
  • Anomalies · daily brief, severity-graded, dismissable with reason
  • Conversational scenarios · if we delay two hires and lose top customer

§02Ring II — Writes To Your Books

Every Charge Becomes The Right Journal Entry. Always.

Kuroji projects double-entry journal entries from a deterministic rule engine. Reconciliation is a continuous background pass, not a month-end ritual. Categorizations learn from your edits and never silently overwrite themselves.

  • Deterministic categorization · same input always produces same entry
  • Continuous reconciliation · the books match the bank, always
  • Rule learning · Anthropic charges → Software becomes a permanent rule
  • Vendor payment batching · drafted, never sent, until you approve
  • Reversible writes · every entry has an undo edge in the audit log
  • Multi-entity · clean separation of books, intercompany on Portfolio

§03Ring III — Acts Externally

Narrow Scope. Hard Limits. Receipts On Every Action.

The third ring is opt-in, capped, and constrained by contractual limits. Kuroji can pay approved vendors on the optimal date, sweep excess cash to treasury, file scheduled sales tax returns, and send pre-approved investor updates — and only those.

  • Vendor pay · only vendors you've explicitly enrolled, only within caps
  • Treasury sweep · to your designated account, on a schedule you set
  • Sales tax · scheduled filing for approved jurisdictions
  • Investor updates · drafted, scheduled, sent only with your approval
  • Hard limits · per-action and per-day caps, written into the auth chain
  • Audit trail · every external action carries a signed receipt

§04Underneath It All

Hash-Chained. Content-Addressable. Defensible At Audit.

Every external event lands as one immutable row, linked by SHA-256 hash to the row before it. Journal entries chain the same way. Drop any event into the verifier and Kuroji can re-derive every number that descends from it — independently, on demand, with the receipts.

  • Event-sourced ledger · canonical inputs, derivable outputs
  • Hash chain · SHA-256 prev-hash linkage, tamper-evident
  • Content-addressable blobs · every supporting document dedup'd by hash
  • Re-derivable books · the books are a view of the events, not a fact
  • CPA-friendly · exports to QuickBooks for tax filings without lock-in
  • Provenance · every number tracks back to its source events
